The XMC controller is a full EtherCAT master, meaning it can communicate with any EtherCAT-capable device including up to 16 EtherCAT servo or stepper systems and up to 32 remote EtherCAT I/O racks. The XMC utilizes the powerful XG5000 software to configure and program all the control logic for advanced motion as well as basic PLC applications.

LS Electric XGB PLCs are powerful controllers with many advanced features including several IEC-based programming languages. These PLCs come with embedded support for basic motion control applications; up to 2 EtherCAT master positioning modules can be added for up to 16 axes of precise motion. The XGB PLC uses the advanced XG5000 programming software for PLC logic operations, and the XG-PM application for motion axis setup and testing.
